CAIRDAC’s completes first Serie A funding of €17 M to develop ALPS - the world’s first self-sustainable leadless pacemaker

Thursday 31 March, 2022

CAIRDAC has developed the world’s first autonomous leadless pacemaker incorporating an energy harvesting module synchronized with cardiac rhythm and powering the device with no energy limitation using the heart’s kinetic energy. It is the first time in the industry that a self-contained implantable medical device is capable of generating its own energy when operated. This feature makes ALPS (Autonomous Leadless Pacing System) the only heart-powered self-sustainable pacemaker in development.
