KERANOVA completes a study on the use of PhotoEmulsification® using FemtoMatrix® technology

Keranova has just completed a study on the use of PhotoEmulsification® using FemtoMatrix® technology targeting high-grade cataracts on 21 eyes ranging from Grade 3 to 5.5, with a mean of 3.6. The study was performed by Dr. Pavel Stodulka from January 10-12, 2022.
The Keranova system uses Photonic Surgery techniques where the wavefront of the laser is modified to create multiple and shaped scanning beams, and the novel Threshold Scanning System that maps the laser threshold throughout the inhomogeneous cataract volume reducing gas generation and insuring effective photoemulsification. The Keranova product also has a robotic arm for effective docking and efficient integration into the OR.
